From EMBER LEIGH comes a HOT new series to read this steamy Summer.....
BLURB:
What
happens when too much time has gone by? Carlos and Casey were lovers,
long ago. But in the four years they haven’t seen each other, plenty has
happened — marriage, job changes, lifestyle shifts, routine, and
ultimately divorce.
When a work trip brings Casey back into Carlos’ territory, she knows she’d have him right there in the airport parking lot. But Carlos doesn’t seem so eager. Unsure of herself post-divorce, Casey knows only one thing: she wants this man as much as she did the last time she saw him. And she’s more than ready to relive every saucy adventure they had together. Can the sparks be salvaged, or has time left them behind?

Ember
Leigh has been writing erotic romance novels since she was far too
young. A native of northern Ohio, she currently resides in South
America with her Argentinean partner, a detail she uses to justify her
Bachelor's degree in Latin American Literature. In addition to romance
novels, she also writes travel articles, maintains three blogs, and
continually attempts to complete a mildly-gripping short story. In her
free time, she practices Ashtanga yoga, travels the world, and eats lots
of vegetables.

EXCERPT:
"Carlos, can I be honest with you?"
He snapped his eyes over to her. "Of course, Case. Always."
"I could come right now if you looked at me long enough. So no, I think your spark is perfectly fine."
His
cheeks reddened, a considerable feat considering his skin tone. He wet
his bottom lip, looking at something on the ground. Despite his broad
shoulders, the way he towered above her from her position on the couch
and his dark eyes, dark skin, dark everything, he was a boy again for a
moment.
This was her doorway, and she was not only walking through it, she was running at top speed.
"I'd rather not talk about it—" he began.
"Let's
test it," she said, the words a hurried jumble spilling from her lips.
"I'll be the judge. Come on." She lifted a brow, happy to see that his
gaze had darkened to smoldering. "In the name of science, at least."
He approached her slowly. "You're serious?"
"Come
here." She patted the couch next to her, feeling suddenly lightheaded
and wicked. She hadn't had a rush of emotion like this since the last
time she'd seen Carlos. Not in years of thankless sex with her
ex-husband, not in years of romances or flings with other faceless men
prior to Carlos. He casts a fucking spell over you, Casey. This is insane.
He
buried his hands in the pockets of his cargo shorts and exhaled slowly.
How could such a sexy man be so insecure? Through his pants, she
spotted the outline of his cock, already stiff. She felt the last shred
of reason dislodge. Game over.
If
he wasn't making the move, she would. Whatever his qualms were, they
needed the touch of a strong woman who knew what the hell she wanted.
And she knew exactly what she wanted.
Their eyes locked and he grinned, devilish and sexy. There's the Carlos I remember.
Casey rose from the couch and stumbled toward him. They met in the
middle of the room and their lips met hurriedly, teeth pressing hard
behind lips. Carlos moaned softly through the kiss, his hands finding
the small of her back. He pulled her against him, hips crashing into the
flatness of his upper thighs. Her heart leapt into her throat; Casey
felt like she could both explode and shrivel at the same time.
Carlos
dragged his lips over her cheekbone until they came to rest on her
forehead. The stubble on his chin pricked her. "You taste the same."
"So do you," she whispered, her breath hot against his chin. "It's been way too long, Carlos."
"God, I know."
